It seemed as if it would never happen, but finally the last weekend of July arrived, and Ps&Qs was a featured guild at Showcase.
So here we are at the May meeting already, and it’s time for all those magnificent Group Quilts to be handed in. If you were at our April meeting you probably saw our impromptu display from the early-birds. Wow we’re a talented and creative lot!
Hi to all who are happily working on their Sashiko and Boro pieces for the group quilt. I will be available this Sunday (March 20) from around 10 am if you need any help, inspiration, or just to hang out with other fanatics like me. Remember we will need to have our pieces completed by May meeting so we will have time to assemble your wonderful work.
Saturday the 25th January was the first get together of the Sashiko/Boro stitching enthusiasts, whose work will soon be finished and seen in the group quilts project. What a great and productive day we had,
There’s a bit of a buzz happening around our group quilt project. Quite a lot of you have signed up into the defined groups, and I’m hoping there are also some rugged individuals who are just doing their own thing. Do remember that there is room for every type, style, and level of expertise.
Firstly a big Thankyou to Sarah Quilter for being the driving force behind what will be I’m sure a wonderful exhibition of our work at the 2016 Vic Quilters showcase, in the form of the Group quilts. My name is Andrea Taylor and I have volunteered to coordinate the Sashiko Group. A great love of mine for over fifteen years I have also branched out into Boro stitching and organic Indigo dyeing, Blue is Beautiful, I know you will agree!!!
