Easter Sunday saw 13 members at the Box Hill Senior Citizens Centre for a day of sewing and chatting.
Those who participated in the challenge brought 12 inch quilts with their interpretation of the object for the month – apple. I think you will agree from the photos below that we had some very creative results.

Several ladies spent their time sewing blocks for Caring and Sharing. Others worked on individual projects. All in all, a very productive and enjoyable day. Join us at the next Sew, Art and Chat scheduled for May 25! The challenge for art quilters is a 12 inch quilt using the image "egg".

I have found some information about a Pat Weir-Smith workshop on Miniature quilts – many years ago. I am interested in working on more of these. Is Pat still around? Has she published a book of her patterns? And is there somewhere I can view some of her work online?
thanks,
Gill Kidd
Hi Gill,
I am unfamiliar with Pat Weir-Smith so I did some research on Google. From what I can see there has been no activity since the mid-1990’s.
Our group produces small quilts from original designs.
Best of luck with your search,
Leslie
