The August meeting was very well attended and members participated in both the August and annual meetings. Mrs Martins from the Dandenongs brought an interesting variety of items for the August shop.
Jann Haggart, speaker for the day, described the stories behind a number of her quilts. It was fascinating to see the changes in Jann's quilts over the past 20 or so years. The gallery below shows some of the quilts displayed at the meeting.
Also displayed was a wide range of quilts created by Caring and Sharing volunteers. The following gallery shows some of the quilts produced by members, both individually and together.
Then on to the formality of the annual meeting. The sincere thanks of all members were extended to the committee 2014-2015. Leslie Edwards and the committee for 2015-2016 were elected unanimously. Thanks in advance for your essential role in keeping Ps and Qs so strong.
The extremely hard work of Ruth Rechner over the last two years with Trading Table was recognised, and Life Membership was awarded to Alex Robson. Congratulations from us all.
