111 members and 3 visitors attended the June meeting. It was a very busy meeting, with lots of member trading tables to help us find just we needed to get on with that project. The library, block swap and sign-ups for trips and other activities kept everyone on their toes.
Our speaker was Matt Maudlin, representing Servants, which is one of the organisations for which members provide quilts through Caring and Sharing. This organisation has been providing community housing for 30 years and in that time 500,000 nights of accommodation have been provided. His visit prompted members to combine to create dignity quilts for each of the houses. (See this website for further details.)
A large number of our members have been working extra hard to create quilts for P&Q's to share with different groups. Thanks to all those people who have contributed - the photos below give a flavor of the variety of quilts produced for this purpose.
