106 members plus some visitors attended the July meeting which featured a silent auction to raise funds for the Biggest Morning Tea. Thank you to all our supportive members - both suppliers and purchasers. The Guild was able to donate approximately $1800 for cancer research as a result of members generosity and hard work.
Ann Allsop was presented with her 40 year membership badge. Congratulations Ann - what a wonderful achievement.
Leanne O'Sullivan from Kimino House was our speaker this month, and she shared a fascinating display of Japanese textiles, featuring "boro" garments and cloth. Thanks Leanne - it was great to see these items up close. Some of the items displayed are shown in the gallery below.
Members continue to produce lots and lots of lovely quilts for Caring and Sharing. Photos of these quilts are shown below:
The meeting concluded with the Show and Tell segment of members special projects.
