Our final meeting for 2017 featured a traditional Christmas Lunch.  The 2 December meeting was very well attended, and all participants thoroughly enjoyed our catered lunch and the activities organised by our enthusiastic committee.  Thank you to everyone who played a part creating such  a successful day. Thanks also to those who donated food and personal items to share with others.

Scraps of wool and fabric along with sequins, beads and other decorative items were provided to members who felt creative (most of us!) and the result was a large number of very professional-looking Christmas Tree decorations.

Jann Haggert presented a beautifully made growth chart to Natasha Awan (and Jensen of course!).

The President interviewed Judy Robinson-Whitty using a question and answer format to reveal Judy's quilting story. Judy shared a display of quilts from her very first quilt to more recent work and some of her rewarding "excursions and side tracks" along the way. The gallery below shows some of Judy's quilts.

Then lunch, a Kris Kringle exchange of gifts, and a carol sing-a-long led by Deb. Donations on behalf of members were made to Servants and Hagar: two charities members have supported generously in 2017.

The December meeting revealed some of the planning for 2018 and incorporated the Caring and Sharing quilts donated to a number of different organisations. Many of these are shown in the gallery below.

The meeting concluded with a presentation of some lovely Show and Tell Quilts. A few of these are shown below:

I wish everyone a safe, restful and productive holiday season.
