108 members attended the highly enjoyable April meeting. Following recent tradition, the April meeting featured members trading day. Members clearly appreciated the opportunity to investigate the bargains on offer, and the resulting transfer of fabric and other treasures from one stash to another proved a win-win situation for all concerned.
A highlight of the April meeting was an entertaining, informative and inspiring address by Pam Haigh who spoke on behalf of the Guide Dogs Association of Victoria. Pam was accompanied by her guide dog Willoughby and they were exceptionally popular guests.
March 26 was orphan block day at Eley Rd. Jann, Toni and Marietta offered insights on ways to put orphan blocks together and as the folowing photos show the process developed some quite striking quilts. Thanks to everyone concerned.
Members continue to produce a range of quality quilts for caring and sharing. Many of these are shown in the gallery below.
The meeting concluded with the Show & Tell display of members work.
