Our Exhibition was a great success!

Congratulations to all our members for the very high standard of quilts entered in our Exhibition. We don’t have professional judges at our Exhibition. Still, we awarded three prizes:

  1. President’s Award, which this year was won by Liz Willing’s quilt “Loose Ends”,
  2. Best Use of Colour (Grace Hand Award) won by Val Lewis for her "Double Wedding Ring” quilt, awarded by the Committee,
  3. And the Viewers Choice Award is "Pistachio Gelato”, by Judybelle Robinson.

We can say that every quilt or item received at least one vote and that there was considerable diversity in the range of quilting genres on display.

I cannot praise the work of all our volunteers highly enough and thank them from the bottom of my heart for making the Exhibition such a successful event. Thank you.
Bronwyn, President.

Our Viewer’s Choice winner! It is "Pistachio Gelato”, by Judybelle Robinson.

She writes that it was begun in an Anita Ellis “Crackerjack” class and quilted with Westerlee rulers.
