107 members braved the cold and rain to attend the June meeting. We had 17 apologies and also five visitors. Welcome to you all! Kellie Wulfsohn from Fairfield's Cutting Cloth was our speaker, and the trader of the day with a difference, as she invited all members back to her shop after the meeting. Kellie outlined her quilting journey, and shared a large number of the quilts she designed and created with members. The gallery of photos below shows some of the wonderful, colourful quilts designed by Kellie.
Considerable progress has been made on the planning for the Quilt Exhibition the Guild is presenting in September Members are asked to add their name to the volunteer, sign-up sheets if possible.
Members have produced a number of lovely quilts for Caring and Sharing. The gallery below shows some of the quilts contributed this month.
Show and Tell where members display the special projects on which they have been working (often for some time!) continues as a special feature of our meetings. June was no exception: the gallery displays a range of quality outcomes.
Remember the July meeting features a silent auction and the Biggest Morning Tea. Members with family names A-K please bring a sweet plate, while L-Z are asked to bring a savoury item.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
Kerry Canty
Please accept my apology for the July meeting. I will be at the Fibre Arts Winter School for the week.
I have 2 entries for the Table Runner Challenge and, and a quilt you may or may not want, it was made in 2010, and exhibited at Showcase that year. (I will show pics at the Aug meeting, I will be happy not to exhibit this ) and will hand my entries in at the August meeting.
