94 members plus 5 visitors attended the April meeting. Members enjoyed the trading table opportunities to build our stashes and to find other treasures. The April speaker was Corliss Searcy (Castlemaine): she entertained the group by displaying some of the quilts from her personal collection, and sharing with us the story behind each quilt.
Members continue to amaze us with the lovely quilts produced for donating to various groups and individuals in need: remember that we are currently quite low on quilts suitable for men. The gallery below shows some of the new quilts produced.
Lots of work has gone into planning for the Quilt Exhibition and also the November retreat. Sign up sheets and other information will be available at the May meeting.
The meeting concluded with Show & Tell - the display of members' work. The gallery below shows samples of member's special projects.
The May meeting will celebrate the 41st anniversary of the founding of the guild. Members with surnames starting A-K please bring a savoury item, while members with an L-Z surname are asked to bring a "sweet" plate.
Cheers
